Materials

Aluminum Alloy 6061

6061 aluminum is a heat treatment can be strengthened alloy, with good formability, weldability, machinability, while having medium strength, after annealing can still maintain good operability. 6061 aluminum's main alloying elements are magnesium and silicon, and the formation of Mg2Si phase. If a certain amount of manganese and chromium, can neutralize the bad effects of iron; sometimes add a small amount of copper or zinc to improve the strength of the alloy, without making its corrosion resistance significantly reduced; conductive materials and a small amount of copper to offset the adverse effects of titanium and iron on the conductivity; zirconium or titanium can refine the grain and control recrystallization organization; in order to improve the machinability, can add lead and bismuth. In Mg2Si solid solution in aluminum, so that the alloy has artificial age-hardening function.
