SUS316 is a stainless steel material that has improved corrosion resistance without changing mechanical properties such as tensile strength by adding molybdenum to SUS304. This material has excellent corrosion resistance to various media, including seawater. The corrosion resistance is better than 316, and the low carbon content and the inclusion of 2-3% molybdenum improves the corrosion resistance to reducing salts and various inorganic and organic acids, bases, and salts, as well as the strength of high-temperature properties.
